Applications are now open, with hundreds of seasonal jobs at GrainFlow's storage centres across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. No experience is necessary for most roles — if you're hardworking, reliable, a team player and willing to learn, you'll fit right in.

Grain Samplers

  • Collect and test incoming grain samples for quality
  • Help keep deliveries moving through the weighbridge
  • No experience necessary — full training provided

Grain Handlers

  • Receive, store and out-turn grain and oilseeds
  • Keep the site clean, safe and running smoothly
  • No experience necessary — full training provided

Weighbridge Operators

  • Weigh and record incoming and outgoing loads

Plant Operators

About GrainFlow

GrainFlow operates a network of 15 storage centres across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, focused on the efficient and cost-effective receival, storage and out-turn of grain and oilseeds.

In 2011, Cargill Australia acquired the GrainFlow storage and handling business and the AWB trading and origination arm from Agrium. Cargill is a major marketer of Australian grain and oilseeds, supplying crush plants and flour-milling requirements as well as domestic and international food-processing customers.

Frequently asked questions

When will I start work?

Harvest start dates vary by site. Most roles begin between late September and early November, with work continuing until January at the latest.

What locations are available?

The 2026 harvest season will run across 13 locations: Talwood QLD; Nyngan, Narromine, Oaklands and West Wyalong NSW; Dimboola, Sea Lake, Birchip and Charlton VIC; and Pinnaroo, Crystal Brook, Maitland and Mallala SA.

What roles are available?

Each location hires a combination of Grain Samplers, Weighbridge Operators, Grain Handlers and Plant Operators. Some locations also hire an Administrative Assistant for the season.

Do I need experience?

No experience is needed for most roles, and full training is provided. Plant Operators, including Front End Loader and Water Cart Operators, need a relevant licence and some previous experience.

Can I work at multiple locations?

We may be able to arrange a site transfer, depending on the locations you're interested in and your performance once work at your first site finishes.

Can I apply with my friends?

Yes. We encourage pairs and groups to apply at the same time. Include each other's names in your application answers so your applications can be processed together.

Is accommodation provided?

We do not provide accommodation for the harvest season, but we can make recommendations to help you find somewhere to stay.
